About Berm Peak

What is Berm Peak, and who is Seth?

Berm Peak is Seth Alvo’s YouTube channel, and this is its official store. Seth started out filming scrappy bike fixes as “Seth’s Bike Hacks,” moved to the mountains of Western North Carolina, and turned a backyard full of homemade trails into a full-time thing. The channel is about riding, building, restoring bikes, and the occasional terrible idea tested at speed. If you got here from a video, you’re in the right place. If you didn’t, welcome, the story’s on our About page.

Is this official Berm Peak merch?

Yes. This is the one official Berm Peak store, run by us. For years the gear was tucked into the corner of a bigger catalog, this store fixes that. It’s made in partnership with Cognative MTB, a family-run shop right down the road from Seth in the same North Carolina mountains. If you bought it here, it’s the real thing.

Does my purchase really support the trails?

It does. 2% of every order here goes to the trails through Cognative MTB’s “2% For The Trails” program, which has put over $100,000 back into trail clubs across their whole business. We’re not going to overstate it, but yes, buying gear here genuinely helps keep trails open.

Wait, is Berm Peak the same as Berm Park?

Easy to mix up, but no. Berm Peak is the YouTube channel (and this store). Berm Park is a real, free, public mountain bike park inside Chestnut Mountain Nature Park in Canton, North Carolina that you can actually go ride. Same community, two different things. (Heads up: Berm Park closes for weather and wet trails, so check that it’s open before you make the drive.)

Gifts & Sizing

I’m buying this as a gift and I don’t really know the brand. Where do I start?

You’re in good shape. If they ride mountain bikes, you almost can’t go wrong with a t-shirt, the Berm Peak water bottle, socks, or a sticker kit. For a kid or teen who’s into bikes, the youth jerseys and the Goodnight Bikes book are easy wins. Most designs come straight out of Seth’s videos, so if the person you’re shopping for watches the channel, picking their favorite design is a fun bonus, but you don’t need to know the references to give something they’ll like.

What size should I get, including for a kid or teen?

Every apparel product has a size guide right underneath the size options on its page, use that for exact measurements. Our adult tees run unisex (if you want a more fitted look, order one size down). We make true youth/kids sizes for shirts, hoodies, jerseys, and gloves, so a young rider gets a real fit, not a shrunk-down adult shirt. Buying a gift and unsure? Size guides beat guessing, and US exchanges are free if it’s not right.

Which shirt is from the E.T. video? And what are Tunnel Vision, Reevo, Ranger District?

If you know, you know. The E.T. design comes straight from the Berm Peak video (only Oskar and Seth know the full truth). Tunnel Vision, Reevo, Priorities, and the Ranger District trail-marker designs all came out of the channel too, they’re the same references you’ve seen on screen. Pick the one that made you laugh.

Shipping, Returns & Exchanges

How fast does it ship, and where does it ship from?

We ship 95% of orders within 48 hours (Mon–Fri) from our facility in Western North Carolina, by USPS. Most US orders arrive in 2–5 days. Shipping is free on US orders over $75.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, worldwide. Standard DHL eCommerce runs about 2–4 weeks depending on where you are and includes $100 of insurance at no extra charge; DHL Express Worldwide is the fastest option (about a week, not guaranteed). Import taxes are collected at checkout so there are no surprise fees on delivery. In Japan, gear is also available through Outdoor Gear Maniacs.

What if the size is wrong or I need to return something?

Don’t stress. If the size isn’t right, we’ll exchange it for free for the size you need (US, non-closeout items). Returns are good for 30 days as long as the item is unused and in its original condition and packaging. Closeout items are final sale. Questions or a warranty issue? Reach out through our Contact page and we’ll take care of you.

Can I cancel or change my order after I place it?

We get it, we change our minds too. Right now, once an order is placed we can’t alter or cancel it. If it doesn’t work out when it arrives, just exchange it for the style you want or send it back for a refund. Returns carry a small $8 fee, which is waived if you choose store credit.

Who actually makes the gear, and why does that matter?

It’s made with Cognative MTB, a family-run shop in the same Western North Carolina mountains as Berm Peak, not a faceless print farm. They started in a garage, they trail-test what they make, and they put a chunk of every sale back into trails. Seth isn’t sponsored to say that; he’s an owner and puts his name on gear he’d wear himself.
